North Carolina’s Betting Revenue Reached a Record $814 Million in November

Key Details from the Commission’s Report

November’s betting turnover surpassed the previous month’s results: in October, locals wagered $811.4 million. By the close of autumn, year‑over‑year growth stood at 23.8% compared with the same period in 2024.

November’s key figures:

• $791.7 million in paid betting profits;
• $22.3 million generated through promotional stakes;
• certified sportsbooks recorded gross revenue of $92.9 million;
• roughly $3.5 million in transactions were voided, with $717.6 million returned to players.

The GGR reached its 2nd-highest level since April 2024, increasing by nearly 19% compared to October’s figures. YoY growth also hit 19%. Meanwhile, tax contributions added $16.7 million to the state treasury by the end of this autumn.

Interim Achievements for the 2025 FY

During the first 5 months of the 2025 fiscal year (July–November), the region’s total betting turnover reached $3.16 billion. The bulk of this handle came from paid stakes, amounting to $3.06 billion, while promotional wagers contributed an additional $105 million.

Over this period, $19 million in deposits were rejected, and customer winnings totalled $2.83 billion. Local legal bookmakers generated $314.6 million in gross revenue.

The state collected $56.6 million in tax receipts. The regulatory authority has not revealed detailed financial performance data for individual operators.
