Alejandro Tengco, Pagcor’s Chairman and Chief Executive, stated that this accomplishment highlights the organisation’s strong commitment to fulfilling its fiscal and social responsibilities. The expert believes that every peso contributed to the state treasury represents his team’s dedication and serves as a reward for the citizens’ trust.

The ₱8.45 billion constitutes a portion of the regulator’s total dividends, which amount to 50% of its net revenues. The remaining ₱4.2 billion (a quarter) is intended for use as an advance payment to cover future liabilities. Additionally, the Ministry of Finance has asked state-run companies to increase their contributions by 25% to elevate non-tax profit.

Tackling the Shadow Gambling Sector: Funding

A substantial portion of the authority’s investments will be dedicated to enhancing initiatives aimed at addressing the grey market issue. Furthermore, other local industry representatives are endorsing this programme.

At the conclusion of September, Mr Tengco presented a cheque for ₱25 million to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). The organisation has pledged to combat unlicensed brands and to shut down POGOs. The allocated funds will be utilised to support detained foreign nationals who are awaiting deportation.
