New Jersey’s Legal Gambling Industry: Financial Performance in July 2026

15/09/2026
New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement released its financial report for July 2026. The document revealed a consistent rise in GGR across both the web and offline gambling segments.

New Jersey’s GGR in July 2026: financial report

The state’s total gross revenue increased by 11.9% YoY, reaching $678.1 million. The regulatory body credits this growth primarily to a record-breaking iGaming profit, albeit by a small margin.

Key Excerpts from the Financial Report

The online casino vertical saw the highest annual upturn, totalling $276.9 million across 28 active platforms. This figure represents a 12% increase, surpassing the previous record set in May 2026, when GGR reached $276.3 million. The disparity between the 2 strongest months was only approximately 0.22%.

The sectoral analysis indicates that online P2P content was the sole segment to experience a YoY decrease, with revenues dropping by 6.2% to $2.55 million. Conversely, other digital products generated nearly $274.4 million, reflecting a 12.2% rise relative to 2025.

The MoM comparison demonstrates that June’s web profit was roughly $6 million lower. However, its daily performance was more favourable compared to July.

During the reporting period, physical casinos’ YoY figures were as follows:

  1. Atlantic City’s 9 facilities increased by 7.1% to $304.2 million, making the vertical the largest within the local sphere.
  2. Of that total, slot machines contributed $226.15 million, a 6.2% rise.
  3. Table games grew by 9.5% to $78.06 million.

The betting niche also experienced a significant upturn:

  1. All sportsbooks generated $97 million, a 29.7% increase from the previous year.
  2. Digital portals accounted for the largest share of that sum, totalling $94.67 million, up 25.5%.
  3. Lounges earned $2.28 million, an impressive 436% YoY rise.

Gross tax revenue from combined niche investment reached $92.2 million, mainly driven by iGaming at $54.72 million.
